What is a pre-order?
We operate a 'pre-order sale' before production runs to limit guesswork of how much we need to make in each batch. This system allows us to more accurately make the items we need and reduces excess waste or stagnant inventory.
To pre-order an item, simply complete the checkout process to secure one in the next production run. Items will be shipped within 2-6 weeks of when we start the pre-order. We will communicate with you prior to shipping so you know when to expect delivery.
What are the shipping details?
Currently we offer free shipping in our home state of California. For the other contiguous states we offer a flat rate shipping of $10. For Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the built in shipping calculator will give you this answer.
How can I change my order or shipping details?
Simply send us a note at hello@harvestmade.us with your order # and updated shipping address.
What materials are used?
We are big fans of simple and natural. Our primary material is baltic birch, a popular plywood made of uniform birch veneers glued together. Do to the high demand of baltic birch, we are sourcing some FSC-certified and some non-FSC certified batches. We hope to only sourced FSC-certified wood in the future.
For our hardware, we primary use stainless pins, latches, and screws. These are high quality and durable. They may weigh a bit more, but we think they're worth it.
What are the stains and finishes?
Our cart wood finish is a low VOC polyurethane exterior stain blended with whey, a by-product from cheese making. Yes, you read that right. It's a wonderful product that protects wood from moisture and forms a durable barrier that is easy to clean. We like it mostly because it's used for outdoor furniture, including garden beds and other places that require a food-safe finish.
How do I care for and clean the cart?
The carts are designed with weather resistant materials, but they are not weather proof. We recommend wiping down any wet spots that accumulate after use with a rag or towel. This will help to keep the cart from forming water spots or damage.
If you need to thoroughly clean the cart, we recommend hosing off with a garden hose, wiping with a dry towel, and leaving in the sun to dry. Do not use soap.
When not in use, please store the cart inside.
What is the return policy?
We offer a 100 day return policy on all items. Items must be in new condition for a full refund. Used items within the 100 day window may be returned and we will issue a partial refund based on the condition. Contact us in the chat window or hello@harvestmade.us and we'll issue a return tag.
If you are uncertain of the item or generally like returning things, please keep your shipping packages. This way you can more easily pack the items for return. There is a discounted shipping fee for all cart returns that varies based on your location.
What is the warranty policy?
We offer a 100 year warranty on all products. If that sounds crazy, you're right. But we stand by the quality of our products for a lifetime and beyond. The warranty protects all hardware components and material defects. Our priority is to fix anything that's broken, so please help us to understand exactly the defect and we can ship a replacement part.
Because most of our products are natural, they may age or fade over time. The warranty does not protect against natural changes in color or appearance.
